The repetition compulsion of counter-representation that reawakens war trauma. Or, the intolerable obscenity of spectacles that remain silent about reality. What alternative is there? Tragically, the 'catastrophe' is inevitable. Nevertheless, the image-scape of Ukraine circulates ineffectually and endlessly.
